Welcome to Oto, a two-tap WhatsApp ride-booking platform. These policies explain how we operate, handle payments, protect user data, and manage refunds and cancellations.
1. Privacy Policy

To deliver ride-booking services, Oto collects the following information:

- Pickup & drop location
- Live GPS location (when booking a ride)
- Ride history
- Payment details (handled securely via Razorpay)

- To connect you with nearby drivers
- To calculate fares
- To process secure payments

- To verify fraud or suspicious activity
1.3 Sharing of Information
We may share limited info with:
- Drivers (name, pickup, drop location)
- Razorpay (for secure payment processing)
- Law enforcement when legally required

We use encrypted communication and secure servers. Payment details are stored and processed by Razorpay, not by us.

2. Terms & Conditions
2.1 Service Description
Oto connects riders and drivers through WhatsApp. Oto is a platform and does not own vehicles or employ drivers.
2.2 User Responsibilities
- Provide accurate pickup and destination details
- Behave respectfully with drivers
- Pay ride charges promptly
- Follow local laws
2.3 Driver Responsibilities
- Provide safe and legal transportation
- Maintain accurate GPS tracking
- Follow Oto safety guidelines
2.4 Payment Terms
All in-app payments are securely processed through Razorpay. We do not store card details.
2.5 Platform Limitations
- Service availability depends on driver availability.
- GPS accuracy depends on device hardware & network.
2.6 Account Suspension
We may suspend users or drivers for fraud, abuse, or violations of these terms.
3. Cancellation Policy
3.1 Ride Cancellation by Rider
You may cancel a ride at any time. However, cancellation fees may apply if:
- The driver has already reached the pickup point
- The driver has waited more than 5 minutes
3.2 Ride Cancellation by Driver
If a driver cancels, you will not be charged any cancellation fee.
3.3 Automatic Cancellations
Rides may auto-cancel if the rider becomes unresponsive on WhatsApp.
4. Refund Policy
Refunds apply only for valid cases, including:
4.1 Refund Eligibility
- Ride not completed
- Double payment or duplicate transaction
- Technical payment failure
- Driver did not arrive or refused service
4.2 Refund Process
Refunds are processed through Razorpay and credited within 5–7 working days.
4.3 Non-Refundable Situations
- Completed rides
- Rider cancelled after driver arrival
- False complaints
5. Payment Policy
5.1 Accepted Payment Methods
- UPI
- Credit/Debit Cards
- Net Banking
- Wallets (where available)
5.2 Payment Security
All transactions are fully encrypted and handled by Razorpay. Oto does not store card numbers or CVV.
5.3 Failed Payments
If a payment fails, Razorpay automatically refunds the deducted amount.

Oto provides instant digital service delivery through WhatsApp. No physical shipping is involved.
