Refund Policy
Last updated: November 2025
1. Refund Overview
We use Razorpay as our payment gateway. Refunds for payments made via Razorpay are subject to Razorpay's refund policies and the terms below.
2. Types of Refunds
We support the following refund types:
- Normal Refunds: Processed via Razorpay in the standard way. :contentReference[oaicite:0]{index=0}
- Instant Refunds: Razorpay offers this option for faster refunds (depends on bank and payment method). :contentReference[oaicite:1]{index=1}
- Batch Refunds: For refunding multiple transactions in bulk. :contentReference[oaicite:2]{index=2}
3. Refund Processing Time
The time it takes for a refund to reflect depends on the payment method:
- Credit / Debit Cards: ~5–10 business days for normal refunds. :contentReference[oaicite:3]{index=3}
- Net Banking: ~2–10 business days. :contentReference[oaicite:4]{index=4}
- Wallets: ~0–3 business days. :contentReference[oaicite:5]{index=5}
- UPI: ~2–7 business days. :contentReference[oaicite:6]{index=6}
For Instant Refunds, if eligible, refunds can be credited within minutes or up to a few hours depending on bank and time of request. :contentReference[oaicite:7]{index=7}
4. Refund Method
Refunds are issued to the same payment method (also known as “source refunds”) used at the time of transaction. :contentReference[oaicite:8]{index=8}
5. Fees Associated With Refunds
- For **Normal Refunds**, Razorpay does not charge a refund-processing fee. :contentReference[oaicite:9]{index=9}
- However, the **transaction fee and GST** that were originally charged by Razorpay when the payment was captured are **not reversed** when a refund is issued. :contentReference[oaicite:10]{index=10}
- For **Instant Refunds**, Razorpay *does* charge a small fee, which is deducted from the merchant’s account balance. If the instant refund fails and is converted to a normal refund, the fee is credited back. :contentReference[oaicite:11]{index=11}
6. Refund States & Tracking
When a refund is initiated:
- Razorpay may mark it as “processed” before getting a confirmation (ARN / RRN) from the acquiring gateway. :contentReference[oaicite:12]{index=12}
- Once processed, you will get an email from Razorpay with a Refund ID and a unique reference number from the bank. :contentReference[oaicite:13]{index=13}
- You can use these details to track the refund status with your bank. :contentReference[oaicite:14]{index=14}
- If the refund doesn’t reflect even after the typical timeframe, please contact us with the Refund ID. Razorpay also has a “Refund Tracker” for customers. :contentReference[oaicite:15]{index=15}
7. When We Initiate Refunds
We may initiate refunds in the following scenarios (this is our policy + Razorpay’s flow):
- Service / ride not completed / cancelled.
- Duplicate / accidental payment.
- Technical payment error or failure.
- Any other valid reason as per our cancellation & refund policy.
In “authorized but not captured” payments, Razorpay may auto-refund the amount after a few days. :contentReference[oaicite:16]{index=16}
8. What to Do If Refund Is Delayed or Missing
If you haven’t received the refund in the expected time:
- Check your bank / card statement for the refund.
- Use the **Refund ID** you got in the confirmation email and track via your bank or Razorpay Refund Tracker. :contentReference[oaicite:17]{index=17}
- If more than ~10–12 working days have passed (in some cases), reach out to us with your Refund ID and transaction details.
- If you're not satisfied with our response, you may escalate with your bank (raise a dispute) after giving sufficient time. :contentReference[oaicite:18]{index=18}
9. Contact for Refund Queries
For any refund-related questions, write to us at:
- Email: alan@youroto.org
- WhatsApp: +91-9188443441
Please include the following to help us serve you faster:
- Your Razorpay **Payment ID**

10. Disclaimer
We strive to process refunds promptly. However, the final refund credit timeline depends on how your bank processes it, which is outside our control. Razorpay’s role is to initiate the refund, but the bank / card issuer completes it. For more information about Razorpay’s refund process, visit their documentation. :contentReference[oaicite:19]{index=19}
